Hi art fans!

If you’re reading this, you’re here to look at some pretty amazing art. Or maybe you were searching for something else entirely. Then without your prior knowledge or permission, your insensitive, narcissistic computer conspiring with that sneaky selfish little search engine brought you to my sight. Guess they were tired of staring at a blank wall all day whilst waiting for you to come back for yet another evening gaming session. Whatever the reason, Welcome! I hope you'll stay for a bit.

Doesn't matter what space you are looking to transform or add a little spice too, I got ‘cha! Perhaps you are trying to find a piece for your or new home or workplace or just some other ‘ol blank soul-sucking space that lacks artistic punch. Whatever your reason for looking for new art, I have many options to offer to help you create your ideal atmosphere and give your space serious personality. My work will never be confused with corporate art. Some pieces may even offend some with delicate sensibilities. If you are looking for something more mainstream, that you can find on any Dental office wall, may I suggest the huge everything store that rhymes with “idea.”

My style is tattoo inspired. It's cool, usually colorful but not always, and a little edgy or funky. Think New York Soho loft, owned by some rock & roll star or hot new designer.

My work reflects my ever-shifting funky, colorful personality. Frankly, I find sticking with one subject a little boring. Many years ago, they might have called me quirky, whimsical, irregular, queer, peculiar, or even nonsensical. After all, what rational person goes from doing a lengthy series on bright, pretty birds that would find themselves at home in any country kitchen. Then takes a nosedive into severe, elaborately drawn skulls, with their austere eyeless stare, shocking enough to give any church lady a freight. Then turn around and take a plunge into desperate grief-filled, “Depression,” the aggression and rage of “Anger,” and annoyance and irritation of “Frustration” in a series called emotions. Not to mention leapfrogging around several one-offs too. Dizzy yet?

I am primarily a Watercolor artist, which is mostly done with special watercolor pencils to achieve detail uncommon in typical watercolor paintings. I also use other mediums, including graphite and India ink and mix them regularly.

When you are making your decision about what to purchase, please note that originals are available on a first come, first serve basis. Framing can be arranged (at customer's cost), and all prices are available upon request.

All pieces are available in museum quality numbered Giclee prints. All are signed by the artist, and available in most standard sizes too.

All my prints start life as an original piece of art which gets scanned with a high-resolution drum scanner. These scanners give the highest quality scans in the industry. After the images have been scanned, they get made into prints using a special Giclee printer. These printers produce prints with colors that are smooth, rich, and most importantly, true to the original piece of artwork. These prints are also available on a variety of different styles and weights of paper and materials (i.e., canvas, wood ext.). Some choices include, cold pressed (textured or toothy), hot pressed (smooth), or Breathing color Lyve© canvas are just a few. They are produced in standard frame sizes. Odd sizes are possible as well but are subject to a small fee. The only restriction for sizing for Giclée prints is how large you can print before the image starts to get pixelated (which is about small human-sized, so pretty big). *price list for prints is coming soon!

In addition to fine Giclée wall prints, there are cost-effective prints and merchandise that can be found at https://society6.com/kristenthacker available too. Society6 has everything from wallpaper and coffee cups to pillows and t-shirts. They have unique small stocking stuffer style gifts as well, like stickers, notebooks, and phone cases. Society6 has a wide variety of price points that can satisfy your artistic itch for merchandise.

For more cost-conscious folks, they carry a budget-minded version of my museum quality prints. The differences being the image is not signed by the artist, numbered and collectible. Also, the image quality is slightly less due to being on a more inexpensive paper and printing style. These prints are a good option for teens and young adults.

If there is some other item you wish an image to be printed on that you do not see on Society 6, I will do my best to arrange a custom printing elsewhere for you. So, if you want something specific and don’t see it, ask! Happy customers = happy artist.

Thanks for coming to my little corner of the internet, if you have suggestions, questions, or comments, I’d love to hear ‘em!! You can reach me at  Kristenthackerart@hotmail.com

Best,

Kristen Thacker
